The best experience you can give yourself is to travel. When you travel you open yourself to new experiences and new sensations that will increase your knowledge and understanding of the world around you. One cannot buy spontaneity and the most liberating realization of travel is embracing one’s insignificance in the universe.
Far from being grim, this new awareness is a beautiful lesson in the role you play in the world. It teaches us the value of ourselves, those around us, and the ground we tread upon. Whether we are traveling with a partner or solo, we are oftentimes forced to make major or minor decisions along the way, “do we take a flight?” or “do we stay another day or two, or perhaps leave a day or two for better parts unknown?” You see, “Travel makes one modest. There is no attached value to our travel experiences because it is priceless. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.”

rch, people value the money they have spent on gaining a new experience rather than on material things they buy. If you have considerable savings, think twice before buying that new gadget or a new expensive signature accessory. Just maybe you are better off spending your hard-earned dollars for a trip so that you can be a shutterbug of exotic destinations. Very few people will continue to talk about the latest fashions (it will be out of date even when they remember to talk about it) or the latest gadgets which they had bought (most likely a new design or upgrade is already in the horizon) but most people will remember all their experiences during their travels.
